Rear Frame Started
Posted on January 27th, 2008 by Rick Thompson
Didn’t get much time to work on the car this weekend so I only got one thing really accomplished. The rear bumper was cut away and a new main frame rail was tack welded in place. Next thing to do is replace the crossmember that is supporting the inner suspension mount and make a new strut tower mount. After that is done I can do some extra bracing and the rear is ready to remove the last of the unibody.

Thanks for some really great pictures! I have a 1992 Geo Metro
with a significant rust problem, and I’ve been searching for some
ideas on how to brace the floor and front suspension.
You’ve gone to a lot of trouble and I appreciate it.
