Assume you mean Dead horse, Arctic Ocean, Alaska?

I'm actually moving to Skagway for the summer. I should be up there by June 15th

Will probably take my KLR

Suggest Avon Distanza tires. I got 16,000 miles out of mine on a round trip to Panama this past winter. Images on my web site.

It was a Pirelli tire. I guess it was just a bad tire or something. So far our plans for the next trip is to go to dead horse. If we make that trip we will be heading by your area.

A fun trip

Looking at your map, a trip to the PNW is on the cards :)

We live in Port Orchard, Washington (West of Seattle) and you would be welcome to stay here.

Hi Rick, Great information here. I was wondering if this set up will work on applications that do not have a mechanical advance. I think the Yamaha Moto-4 ATV does not have a mechanical advance, but I wanted to make sure. I plan on doing this conversion on a 82 Kawasaki 250 KLT three wheeler. I tried using a GM ignition module but I don't think the signal from the magnetic pick-up is compatable. Hopefully, the Duraspark module is :).
Oh, one more question, When I go to the junk yard, what model years and models of Ford should I be looking for to grab parts from? Thanks.

I got 55mpg going 60mph or slower. The faster I went the worse the mileage. down to 38mpg going 70mph with a 20-30mph headwind. I have a Scottoiler on the bike using chainsaw bar oil for the lube. It is the longest lasting oil I have seen for a bike chain. I swapped chains at 5,000 miles on the bike and am still using that chain at 20,000 on the bike with very little wear on it, I swapped so I could go to a 16 tooth sprocket.

What MPG did you average?

How was chain life? What chain lube do you use?

Net wiring trick.I just got it hooked up on a chiese 250 and it work great.I did notice that the ballast resister gets kinda hot when running.Any idea on that?Oh ya .Without the battery hooked up the motor wants to skip a little and hasn`t got all the power so best to have a battery in the 4 wheeler. Thanks again.
