1994 Chevy Astro
Here is my Astro. I have not done anywhere near as much to this car as I normally do to my cars and I really don’t plan on doing much more to it than I need to just to keep it nice and doing what it needs to do.
My current mods so far on it are:
- AIR LIFT 59504 Ride Control Rear Air Spring Kit
- AIR LIFT 25592 Load Controller II for the air bags
- Two Hayden 679 Transmission Oil Coolers
- Transgo HD2 shift kit
- Indicator on dash for torque converter lockup
- Inverter mounted in wall behind passenger seat
- Flex fan mounted on stock fan clutch
- Underdrive pullies
- Digital TV converter box
- Dual battery setup
- New TV
I am getting around 20mpg with it. That is with my normal mix of regular driving and hauling/towing things. I am working on making it better without hurting the mileage or reliability of it. So far everything I have done has made it even nicer than it was stock.
I put a new TV in. The old one was just small and the screen was getting pretty washed out from the age of it. So what else is there to do except cram the biggest LCD in there possible.
With it hooked to my Zune 120 I have tons of music and movies. I don’t think I am ever going to bother with a DVD player unless I just find one really cheap. This will do everything I need.
